Stand Up Paddle surfing (SUP) is exploding all across the country, and South Padre Island is an ideal destination to SUP. Beginners and experts alike enjoy learning, practicing, working out, and just relaxing while paddling all around the vast expanses of flat water in the Laguna Madre bay on the West side of the Island, while nearly every morning glassy waves perfect for SUP surfers roll into the sandbars on the east side of South Padre.
